ITIBAR & AVOCATS ASSOCIÉS assisted in a project focused on the development of biological resources originating from the Union of the Comoros. The mission consisted of analyzing applicable legal requirements regarding access to genetic resources and benefit-sharing, as well as obligations resulting from the Nagoya Protocol and applicable national regulations. The firm also provided advice on contractual matters relating to the usage rights of the resources concerned as well as the legal structuring of the project. This intervention illustrates the firm's practice in sectors combining environmental law, international investment, and natural resource regulation.
